Exciting news for Austin FC fans – in a landmark deal between Apple and Major League Soccer (MLS), fans will be able to stream every MLS match through the Apple TV app without any local blackouts or restrictions starting in the 2023 season.
Apple and Major League Soccer announced that the Apple TV app will be the exclusive destination to watch every single live MLS match beginning in 2023.
This partnership will allow fans around the world to watch all MLS, Leagues Cup, and select MLS NEXT Pro and MLS NEXT matches in one place without any local broadcast blackouts or the need for a traditional pay-TV bundle.
From 2023 through 2032, fans can get every live MLS match by subscribing to a new MLS streaming service, available exclusively through the Apple TV app.
In addition to all of the match content, the service will provide fans a new weekly live match whip-around show so they never miss a goal or save, and also game replays, highlights, analysis, and other original programming.
This live and on-demand MLS content will provide in-depth, behind-the-scenes views of the players and clubs. A broad selection of MLS and Leagues Cup matches, including some of the biggest matchups, will also be available at no additional cost to Apple TV+ subscribers, with a limited number of matches available for free.
As an added benefit to fans, access to the new MLS streaming service will be included as part of MLS full-season ticket packages.

Fans can also watch on tv.apple.com.
All MLS and Leagues Cup matches will include announcers calling the action in English and Spanish, and all matches involving Canadian teams will be available in French.
Complete details for the new service will be announced in the coming months.
Austin FC’s first-ever Meet the Team event took place Saturday, June 4, 2022, at Q2 Stadium.
I’ve been to these sorts of events for DC United and the Red Bulls and they had a decent amount of people attending. The Austin FC crowd was huge and so were the lines to meet the players and coaches.
There were five stations set up around the stadium in the Captain Morgan Club, Lexus Club, McKalla Corner, On-Camera Host Set, and Q2 Field Club.
The photos and signatures were set to start at 2:00 PM and I arrived a little before 12:30 PM to get in line. It was hot and they let us in at 1:00 PM.
We headed down to the Q2 Field Level club to be in A/C for a while before the event started. At around 1:40 PM the players came in and I got to get a ball signed by Felipe Martins and Jhohan Valencia. Then we headed out to the tunnel to the field to meet Ethan Finlay, Damian Las, and Diego Fagundez.
Each season ticket holder was given three tickets per person to redeem for food and drinks. That was a nice break to get some drinks after the first signing.
Then we headed to the line for Maxi Urruti, Danny Hoesen, Zan Kolmanic, and Hector Jimenez at the On-Camera Host Set.
After that line, we looked and the other lines were so long we figured we wouldn’t make it in to meet any more players, so we headed out.
It was really cool to meet some players and awesome to see such a big turnout. I can’t wait for the next match.

Austin FC announced that Head Coach Josh Wolff has signed a three-year contract extension with Austin FC to continue as Head Coach through the end of the 2025 Major League Soccer (MLS) season.
Through the first 10 regular season matches for Austin FC, Wolff has the team currently positioned at second overall in the Western Conference and second overall in the Supporters’ Shield standings and a 6-2-2 record.
Wolff, 45, became Austin FC’s first-ever Head Coach in November 2019. Austin FC hired him from the U.S. Men’s National Team (USMNT) staff, where he was an assistant coach under Gregg Berhalter and played a role in the team’s run to the final of the 2019 Concacaf Gold Cup.
Previously, Wolff was an assistant on Berhalter’s staff for five seasons with the Columbus Crew. Wolff’s first coaching role was with D.C. United as an assistant coach in 2013, helping the club win the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup that season.
During his playing career, Wolff represented the United States at both the 2002 and 2006 FIFA World Cups, recording an assist in the USMNT’s famous 2-0 win over Mexico in the 2002 Round of 16.
He scored nine goals in 52 appearances during his international career, was named U.S. Soccer’s Young Male Athlete of the Year in 1998, and was a U.S. Olympic team athlete at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games.
At the club level, Wolff played 14 seasons with three teams in Major League Soccer in addition to one season in Germany with 1860 Munich.
In total, Wolff made 367 appearances for his club sides, scoring 106 goals and earning MLS All-Star selections in 2002 and 2006.
He won the 1998 MLS Cup with Chicago Fire FC and won the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup in 1998, 2000, and 2004.
Congratulations on the extension, Coach Wolff.
