I’m taking part in the 30th Annual Austin Marathon Gives to raise money for Soccer Assist, who do great work for a cause that’s very close to my heart – enabling underserved kids to play soccer.
So many kids out there want to play soccer, but their parents cannot afford it. But you and me can make a difference and get more children on the pitch and parents on the sidelines.
That picture up there is me at a camp for the Washington Diplomats (way long ago in the NASL). I was lucky to be able to play from grade school through high school and I want to see others have the same opportunity.
