Chris of the Austin American-Statesman reports: “City of Austin officials remain in negotiations to finalize a deal with Columbus Crew SC investor-operator Anthony Precourt to construct a Major League Soccer stadium. The lease could be signed as soon as next week.”
“A series of announcements this week, in which a new prospective ownership group for Columbus Crew SC, along with public officials, unveiled plans for a new downtown stadium that would keep the Crew in the Ohio capital, do not appear to have had any effect on plans in Austin.”
