The deal includes a transfer option. Corozo, 23, spent the 2021-2022 season on loan with Liga MX’s Pumas UNAM, where he played in both legs of the 2022 Concacaf Champions League Final.

While on loan at Pumas, Corozo recorded eight goals in 44 appearances across all competitions, including eight appearances in the Concacaf Champions League.

Corozo made his debut for the Ecuador men’s national team on September 2, 2021, against Paraguay, a 2-0 home victory for La Tri in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualification.

Corozo began his professional career with Independiente del Valle in his native Ecuador and helped the team win the Copa Sudamericana in 2019.

He transferred to Sporting Cristal ahead of the 2020 season and scored eight goals in 28 matches as Cristal won the Peruvian Liga 1 title that year.
