The groundbreaking has taken place on the privately funded St. David’s Performance Center, Austin FC’s official training facility.
St. David’s Performance Center, which will be located at Parmer Pond in North Austin, is scheduled to be completed in Spring 2021 as Austin FC begins their inaugural MLS season.
St. David’s HealthCare, the leading health system in Central Texas, was Austin FC’s first Founding Partner in May 2019.
The facility represents a $45-million investment from Two Oak Ventures, the parent company and ownership group of Austin FC, and it is scheduled to open in Spring 2021.
The 23-acre site will feature two state-of-the-art buildings with a combined footprint of 30,000 square feet, which will host the Austin FC first team, Academy players, and technical staff, as well as Austin FC’s soccer operations leadership.
The facility will feature four full-sized pitches, including three natural grass surfaces and one artificial turf surface, as well as one half-sized grass pitch.
The artificial surface pitch will include spectator stands and concession infrastructure designed to accommodate approximately 1,000 ticketed guests, in addition to serving as a playing surface that will be utilized by Austin FC’s first team, Austin FC Academy teams, and Parmer Innovation Center tenants and employees.
