Sad news for the Austin soccer community this week – Promise Isaac, forward on Austin Bold FC, passed away this past Wednesday night.
Isaac was found unconscious at his apartment complex where he had been working out.
He was the captain of Nigeria when they won the silver medal at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing, and he played professionally for 14 seasons, mostly in Turkey.
The USL announced that the Austin Bold FC match vs Real Monarchs SLC, scheduled for Saturday, October 5, has been rescheduled to Wednesday, October 16.
He is survived by his wife and three children.
