Back on June 30, Austin FC announced the signing of Senegalese striker Moussa Djitté. Fans were excited about adding some power up front, but then there was no sign of Djitté in Austin.
For well over a month there has been virtually no news on our new striker… until today.
Journalist Sam Stejskal had some news that gave the Austin FC faithful some hope…
Sources: Austin FC signing Moussa Djitte, who was signed on June 30 but has been abroad awaiting his visa, is en route to the US. Expected to land in Austin tonight.
Djitte, 21, had eight goals in 35 Ligue 2 appearances for Grenoble last season. He is a U-22 initiative signing.

The club has not confirmed this news, but I hope and expect it will be today or tomorrow when Djitté finally makes it to Austin.
