Austin FC’s parent company Two Oak Ventures announced several new additions to the ownership group, including actor Matthew McConaughey.
Looks like we’ve got a “minister of culture” for Austin FC.
This isn’t the first time Matthew McConaughey has been seen in the Austin FC logo – back in May he attended an LAFC match and was sporting an Austin FC shirt as he hung out with LAFC part-owner Will Ferrell.

President and chief commercial officer of Dell technologies Marius Haas, technology entrepreneur Eddie Margain, and local energy executive Bryan Sheffield also joined Anthony Precourt in the ownership group.
“It is my privilege to welcome my new partners to Austin FC,” Anthony Precourt, majority partner and CEO of Austin FC and Two Oak Ventures, said.
“This group knows and loves the city of Austin and the beautiful game. I can’t think of anyone better to help us realize our ambitions as a soccer club for this entire community.”
I can’t wait to see Matthew McConaughey playing bongos in the supporter’s section.
Alright, alright, alright.
