The South American Football Confederation (CONMEBOL) has announced the host venues for the 2024 Copa America and Q2 Stadium will be one of 14 stadiums (and one of three soccer-specific stadiums) to host matches at next year’s edition of the oldest national team tournament in the world.
The tournament will take place from June 20 to July 14, 2024, and feature 32 total matches among 16 teams, ten from CONMEBOL and six from the Confederation of North, Central America and Caribbean Association Football (Concacaf).
Q2 Stadium will host two group stage matches on Sunday, June 30 and Tuesday, July 2 – the matchups are still to-be-determined.
The United States Men’s National Team qualified for the tournament thanks in part to its 3-0 victory over Trinidad & Tobago at Q2 Stadium on November 16, 2023.
I am hoping to see Venezuela and Costa Rica play in Austin, since Dani Pereira and Julio Cascante would have a chance to represent their countries in front of Austin fans.
Information on how to purchase tickets for 2024 Copa America matches will be provided at a later date.
