4ATX Foundation, the philanthropic arm of Austin FC, has awarded a $25,000 grant to Upper Ninety, a positive youth development program for teens in low-income Austin neighborhoods.
Upper Ninety uses soccer as an educational tool, combining soccer training with social-emotional learning, Restorative Justice, and mindfulness to help students build a foundation for lifelong success.
Kaitlin Swarts, Founder & CEO of Upper Ninety, grew up in Austin and played with the Lonestar Soccer Club as a child. She started Upper Ninety in 2017.
The programs from Upper Ninety will operate at Decker Middle School, Dobie Middle School, East Austin College Prep, and Northeast High School.
Upper Ninety is a tax-exempt organization under 501 (c) 3 of the IRS code.
